LIFE DRAWING (FALL & WINTER SESSIONS)
A non-teaching open studio for beginner to advanced artists. Live models each night. Work in any media, in an environment where it is
possible to share & critique with other participants or keep your work private, whichever you prefer.

Tired of doodling in the margins? Always wanted to try art but were concerned about your beginner skills? Here's an opportunity to get
some basics of drawing, in an environment designed to encourage - not judge your abilities. Learn basics with pencil, charcoal and pastel
and apply to learning about composition, light and shade, and how to find what to draw.

PASTEL STILL LIFE ONE-DAYWORKSHOP
For beginners to intermediate pastel painters. Oil and watercolorists may also participate. For the one day workshop Diane will provide
painting information through a morning demo and articulate teaching. Following the demo students will paint from a still life setup. Diane
will give instruction as participants explore: Composition: Pre-positioning the subjects to create interest in the still life; Drawing: The importance
of a sound start; Color: Giving attention to temperature; Value: Making the most of limits; Edges: Creating movement in the
still life
